Tonight’s the night we bid farewell to the past year and celebrate what’s to come in the new one. I don’t know about you but I’m pretty excited for 2013. While I haven’t put much thought into my resolutions like I did for 2012, I have a feeling it’s going to be a great year. Tonight Jarret and I are going on a long overdue date night at a yummy steakhouse and there’s really no way I’d rather spend my evening. What do you have planned for tonight – are you going out on the town or staying in and watching the ball drop?
However you’re ringing in the new year, I hope you have a fun, celebratory, and most importantly safe night full of love, laughter, champagne, and good friends and family. Thanks for following along and see you in 2013!
Meet the newest tiny member of my family….
Little Lola! She’s absolute perfection and I am beyond obsessed.
Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram to keep up with this critter; she’s taking over my feed and with good reason!
Love love love this Swarovski Elements wallpaper collection.
Just gorgeous. Can you say dream home?

While I’m all about using color to add a pop of pizazz to any outfit, sometimes there’s nothing better than (not so) basic black and white. The classic combo works year-round but I’m especially loving the polished Fall/Winter looks this palette inspires.

I’m loving a deep, vampy burgundy (also known as oxblood) lip this winter. It is so on-trend and instantly makes your look feel polished and put together. Below are some of my favorite formulas to achieve this look.*
{Splurge: NARS Sheer Lipstick in Vendages ($24) // Save: Wet n’ Wild Lipstick in Vamp It Up ($6.49)}
*Hint: Don’t use a lipliner and do apply with a lipstick brush to avoid looking like a vampire straight out of True Blood.

I recently ordered Vogue Creative Director Grace Coddington’s new book Grace: A Memoir, and I really can’t wait for it to come and to start reading it. The book reveals one of her hidden talents, sketching. ”She is well-known for sketching looks as they come down the runway from her front-row perch during fashion week, but her drawings also take on a distinctly personal, and often humorous, tone. From childhood memories to her first day on the job as both a model and fashion editor to her big loves (including, of course, her cats), these remarkable, hand-drawn pictures reveal yet another dimension to an already famously fascinating woman.”
How adorably quirky. So excited to learn more about her!

Great gifts and stocking stuffers for the fashion and beauty loving lady. They also happen to double as the cravings currently residing on my wish list. I’ll take one of each, especially those shoes.
I’m really digging this series by New York photographer Jon Shireman. In Broken Flowers, Shireman dipped various blooms into liquid nitrogen and then smashed them on a hard surface while recording the the destruction with a high-speed camera.
Awesome results, no?

Just a small collection of perfect hostess gifts to make your holiday shopping a little bit easier. Now you can focus on what you’re wearing to all of the fabulous parties filling up your calendar, not what you’re bringing. Cheers to that!
